Children’s Day Celebration

Children are said to be
the leaders of tomorrow which means they have to be trained today so as to take
up their leadership role tomorrow. That is why the Foursquare Gospel Church has
set aside a day to celebrate the children.
In commemoration of the
Children’s day celebration, The Foursquare Gospel Church nationwide
relinquished the stage for the Children. At the Ebute-Ojora branch, the children
showcased their talents and their worths as they took up the normal Sunday
worship routine of the Church. They had a variety of programmes ranging from
Praise /Worship, Choreography and even Dance Drama.
Praise Worship Section
The children astounded the
entire congregation with their ability to lead them into soul lifting worship.
Even the highest ranked in the church could not help but dance to the songs led
by the Children.
Choreography
The array of cultural
attires was awesome as the children choreographed the lyrics of the song “Kene
Jesu” which was done by Midnight “Crew”
Cadets-on-Parade
Another interesting
activity was “Cadet’s on Parade” performed by children between 7 and 13 years
of age as according to the Foursquare Gospel Doctrine, they are regarded as the
young soldiers (Cadets) fighting evil in the world. This was characterized by
the recitation of the Cadet Pledge and Song, Christian pledge and song, Bible
pledge and song, Foursquare pledge and song and even the National anthem and
pledge.
Children News
Just as adults have
career, the children are also aspiring to build their intellect in that aspect
as a child said the News on the Hour – aspiring to be a journalist.
It was a great and
wonderful experience for the children and the entire church as God used the
children to touch lives in Foursquare Gospel Church, Ebute-Ojora. They are God's Heritage indeed.
